go-kite:

Like we have discussed in the past, TPMs will likely not be incorporated directly into the CPU in the foreseable future.

HONG KONG (AP)--While security companies showed off their best
crime-prevention technology at an international trade fair in Hong Kong,
thieves snatched computers from the exhibition booths.

The thefts took place at the Asia Securitex 2004 trade show, police and a
newspaper said Thursday.

"If you can't expect good security here, where can you expect it?" exhibitor Shinah Lunty was quoted as saying in the South China Morning Post newspaper. The thieves stole two laptop computers worth a total of HK$19,400 on Wednesday, police spokeswoman Carrie So said. Lunty told the newspaper someone also stole her mobile phone, worth HK$2,000.

Police had no information about that theft, So said. Hong Kong police inspector Bob White said he suspected a mainland China gang targeted the exhibition, regarding it as a place for "easy pickings," the newspaper reported.

go-ks, there is TPM capability within the LaGrande die area. But as awk mentioned, TPMs are likely to remain separate devices in the near future.

LaGrande's combination of ROM, RAM and mPU is perfect for storing many keys, handling secure transactions, and using protected memory for things like credit card numbers, etc.
