You don't shake until later. Its so captivating, that while the animal is that close, you loose all sense of anything but the encounter, and trying not to interrupt it. But, if that was a shooter, he probably would have shook like a jack hammer. I never had one do the arrow touch, but I had a small 4 point buck actually sniffing me at about a foot from my foot. I was in a low tree stand, on a side slope in the woods, covering a trail around the marsh edge at the bottom of the hill. I could stand on the ground and lay my bow on the stand platform, so it was only about 7 feet off of the ground, on the downhill side. The small buck came in on the uphill side of the stand, and worked his way right up to it, looked me up and down for an eternity, and finally reached up to sniff the edge of the stand right by my foot. I didn't move, and he didn't bolt. He eased out of the area at the same pace he came in. I thought he would blow, and bolt, but I guess my stillness kept him from being alarmed. Nice memory for me, though. Thanks again for the post. LC
