If you can leave the money on the table to see how far it will fly, that is just great!
OTOH a 400 or 500 percent profit could be enough to make a HUGE difference in someone's life. In that case taking the money is by far the smartest thing to do.
I don't know what he/she sold at, but if it was anywhere near 8 they walked away with a cool half-million. As we say here in Appalachia, that ain't too shabby. How often does the opportunity come around for you to make that much on one stock?
