M6, my understanding is that the basic point in Scott M's comments was that Interdigital's technology is part of the Infineon chip that was incorporated into the iPhone. The company will confirm this if you call but they never issued a press release to that effect due to limitations by Apple and Infineon. It was well accepted but nice to hear in the CC. That connection produces additional revenues for Interdigital above the Apple license for 2G/3G.
Just nice to hear since Interdigital is seemingly always limited in what they can issue in a press release.
