Goinup, I'm a software developer and computer user. I still use Microsoft software sometimes. I used to be a big fan, but my ardor has cooled. Generally, I prefer to develop new projects using non-Microsoft software.

I'm concerned about Microsoft establishing its monopoly in ways that prevent choice to use alternatives. Other than that, I have no vested interest. (I've owned approx. 20 shares of IBM for 20+ years. Otherwise, I have no stake in any of the players.)

IMO, Linux vs. Microsoft isn't exactly David vs. Goliath. Linux's side also includes IBM, HP, Oracle, CA and Intel, along with many others.
