The question is: does the order to vacate trump any orders that were made during the course of the ERICY litigation? There are apparently orders which were issued during the litigation which would have done damage to the strength of IDCC's patents. These orders were seemingly made by Barefoot in a failed attempt to settle the ERICY case and they displayed his inadequate understanding of the further ramifications of his rulings.
