Really? Seems like it makes a great case for Globalstar wanting to be involved with Sanswire. Satellites are expensive, take a long time to get into operation, are hard to work on when components fail, and hard to upgrade.
Now a company like Globalstar may not be looking to replace its satellite operations with stratellites (could be once the technology is fully operational and tested), but it would make alot of sense to use Stratellites to cover holes in their system and especially to act as a backup system that could be deployed in a couple of weeks when a satellite has an anomaly. Sure beats the time it takes to get a new satellite up and operational. Sure would make a big difference to your customers.
Have a good day, I will.
