I totally agree multivalue. It looks like they can simply "borrow" more shares to cover their shorted shares on the settlement date, instead of having to actually purchase shares.
Multiple brokers "borrowing" the same limited number of shares for shorting has caused much of the naked shorting abuse. I'm sure the "borrowing" in this fashion will continue, to meet the new regs and allow them to continue business as usual. What a crock.

if the market fails further because of this action, government should come in and investigate the SEC, I think they are dirty anyhow. they pick on the small ones and only look at the big ones if something is exposed to public, sure sign of corruption.
