The deal was turned down but remember that they had the retail banking arm as part of that deal.

With $4.4B cash + Mortgage backed securities and other assets we might get a great deal because in this credit climate cash is KING.

I look forward to a buyout or we can go after a regional banking interest.

$8 offer would be great.

That $8.00 offer was for the whole schebang - we're only the Holding Company now - although I would take $2.50 and be happy..........lol.
