That's what all the propaganda rags say.

But back to the point. No one thinks that Pelosi's speech was appropriate or good timing, but most of the commentary I've seen (from both republican and democratic analysts) is that it's absurd to think that the republican vote was motivated by Pelosi's words, as opposed to their own political gain.

And if they were, it makes them seem all the more petty, to have put their own "hurt feelings" ahead of the good of the country.
