A few more things you need to do.

Reinstall your printer drivers from the HP disk.

Put some dam security on that machine before you go anywhere else on the internet. You are running a cable connection with no firewall and no antivirus. Do you also run naked in a briar patch for fun? (g)

You need to install thwe following free programs.

Google Toolbar to stop popups. Get it at Google.

Spyware Guard
Spyware Blaster

Do a google search for AntiVir and install it. It is free and a great antivirus.

Do a Google search for Zone Alarm and install the free version. Set it to auto update. it is the very best firewall.
