Well I have to wonder how many shares of GS Hank Paulson has in his "blind" trust. This is a classic conflict of interest right up there with Dick Cheney getting HAL into Iraq on a sole source support contract.
I've only seen one comment about direct benefit to Hank Paulson, who acted on this idea when GS dipped below a hundred; now it's at $134. So if he has a million shares, for instance, this move nets him about $34million for working thru the weekend.
