One would think that the city council would be highly publicizing their efforts to finally pursue development of the property instead of meeting behind closed doors.

I'd be extremely interested in what that marina and hotel are going to look like and the plan to draw tourists to the area. Berlin had their turn at bat in the beginning when they knew the mill was closing. Swing and a miss.

Then back a company that slants timber projections in a manner that looks bad for the competition and that wants concessions in the tax rate ... Swing and a miss .. strike two.

Failing to support a company that will bring much needed jobs to the community and ignore the city folk that back Laidlaw. Swing and a miss... Strike three

rich - The investment community knows what is happening with the Company and the Berlin project...

When was the last time you visited the Laidlaw offices and talked to the CEO to do your own due diligence??? Perhaps you should heed your own advice...

I have my own local sources of information in Berlin...

My family has lived in Gorham for over 30 years. I have since moved on to a different part of the state but I still have contact with many people in that area, including my father who is now doing contract work around the country (away from my mother) because the PPA mill ended up doing more harm than good for the city of Berlin.

I don't know what you get out of seeing Laidlaw fail but I assure you, you stand with very few with your desire to see Laidlaw fail in Berlin.

Good luck and prepare to welcome your new neighbors.
