I know that the Mason Dixon energy company has been aggressively courting farmers in Northeastern PA for their natural gas rights as part of the Marcellus shale.Having said that please remember North Huntingdon is in the *western* part of PA and it's a big state.My point is that Mason Dixon and their ilk survey all on their own and then approach the landowner with an offer that can be negotiated.They spend a lot of time and money speculating on a whiff of natural gas,and these are *big* companies.There is even a web site that will auction the Marcellus shale rights for the landowner to the highest bidder,for a fee of course.Lots of renewed interest in natural gas in PA right now.I think Adam Marek is one smart cookie and I'm glad I bought Beacon.
