You're absolutely right, right down the line Dave. Although I like your brat analogy, I had a slightly different one in mind. That of a kid who breaks something, and when he's called on it blames his kid brother or sister.
It's always, 'I didn't do it, he did!'. Even if tears are necessary to facilitate the fraud.
