As I said before they were 7.5 games behind with willie as the manager. So yes they are vastly superior. They have gained 10 games on the phillies in roughly 2 months. The phillies over the last 55-60 games are under .500. The Mets score more runs, they have better starting pitching, they have better defense, I like their manager better, outside of the bullpen the phillies are beat in every facet of the game, and as far as I'm concerned the phillies are not in the same league as the Mets, in my opinion, their are only three team in the NL really worth their stuff (Mets, Brewers, and Cubs). If arizona makes it they will be annoying because Haren and webb, although they couldn't hit to save their lives, when Haren and Webb pitch you got a shot against anyone. The phillies don't have the cubs, the brewers, or the mets rotation, even arizona rotation. That simply a fact. In a couple of weeks will check back when it is 3.5 or 4.5 or 5.5. It will be expanding. The Mets will win by about 5-7 games in this division, I fully expect the Mets to win 90+, if I had to guess I would say about 92-70 and I don't see the phillies getting past 87-88. Just my opinion though, all I can say is we will see soon enough.
