Regarding the 2G monies. Isn't the pucker point date on that portion of the issue much sooner than Nov 25th?

Won't this also determine patent validity as that was one of Sammy's defenses?

j70k...I'm thinking the game may have shifted to our favor. In terms of time, surely us longs are hoping this does not take two or more years. However, we will have the 2G award along with the 2006 3G award, coupled with about $235 million in the bank today. We have a growing business with growing earnings. We have our new produts, no debt, and a significant line of credit, so we do have some time.

Plus not having Samsung revenue or Nokia for that matter, is no different tomorrow than today or yesterday. the money we are not getting today won't hurt anymore tomorrow. I'm not saying we don't have to sign the top tier guys, just that we have time to do it right. Bill Merritt has said he would only sign deals that make sense.

On the other side of the field we have the players wanting and needing to increase market share in the North American market. I question if they can wait two years????

In two years their current technology will have changed, the market will have moved on. Perhaps without them. In less than two years both Apple and RIMM could represent major competition, and I'm not sure the service providers will wait for these guys either. I suspect for one service provider, Verizon will not wait, as they already showed they would intervine in the Qcom/ Broadcom issue and they did.

Furthermore, Bill Merritt recently said in a CC that they could have used other patents in the ITC case, and that he's confidant the current case should bring resolution. However, he added if not....... they have more to come!

I'm only saying that I think we all tend to sell the company short. I for one....I'm done with that. I say Samsung and Nokia have more to lose in the next two years than IDCC.

We will make it through the next two years at which time the market will be peaking.....And. And, and.... the meter is still running. They still owe for catch up from 2006 to any signing for 3G. That includes all the top tier guys. Someone on this board used to say.....Tick- Tock.

No free lunch for these bandits.
