Were those other wells in the same trend?

Where they actually produced or just drilled?

How many of them are less than 25 years since they were touched?

How many of them were abandoned within weeks of being drilled?

I could have sworn we had this discussion just a couple weeks ago.

It's noteworthy that the wells were ever drilled, but not if one isn't going to go beyond the fact they existed. It's helpful if records can be found with information on those old wells. It's helpful to know the answers to the questions I asked above. But if all your going to go with is "there were other wells"... it really doesn't mean anything.

If you'd learned even a little of that history I think you might be more optimistic.

Generalities PinkElephant, lets be specific, those "something like 12 other wells" were completed prior to the 80's, some go as far back as the 50's for the Collins area; additional information that is available on these wells is very little.

Add on to the fact that if you recall Hemi went a bit deeper on the Collins, perform a perf and finally IMO you need to understand the term "Creekology" as it relates to drilling location, specifically the Collins and since we are on this topic you might as well throw in the Weseloh and Driskill too; as "Creekology" applies there too .

I have a map of Woodson county that identifies all existing and abandoned wells in this area, visited and toured this area back in May and guess what?

There is not one existing or abandoned well located anywhere is this area as Hemi specific to the location the Collins when is comes to "Creekology".

Yes there is evidence of other wells in this area more like 1/2 mile but there are NO WELLS that have been drilled to the same formation so close to a creek as the Collins in this area.

If we are going to discuss and challenge characteristics of the Collins, reasons why the Collins was drilled and potential of the BOD of the collins, then lets be clear and lets provide detail to allow for these comparisons, but IMO generalities do not make the cut.

Ok Pink Elephant, I can now be more specific after reviewing the site map to your "something like 12 other wells in that same 1/4 square mile section that had been drilled have been abandon", this is directly from a map resource that I have obtained of the Woodson County area that identifies all wells that were either:

> Dry Holes
> Abandon Wells
> Gas Wells
> Oil Wells

According to this map the following within 1/4 of a mile of the Collins Hemi 1 site:

> 4 - Dry Holes
> 3 - Abandon Wells
> 10 - Active Gas Wells
> 79 - Active Oil Wells!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So my question back to you is where do you get the "something like 12 other wells abandon in this 1/4 mile area"???

As far as Creekology, since I keep referencing this term, let me be more specific to the above information and data as it relates to the Collin Hemi-1.

The actual site of the Collins Hemi-1 is located in the upper NE quadrant of the W.D. Collins property and you will also note the creek that is only located in this area of the Collins property.

Another point of interest specific to this area, of the 79 working oil wells in the immediate 1/4 -1/2 mile area, the majority of these wells are located on the Tebbins, Purnell, & Reno properties

Care to guess what little O&G company has its wells located on these sites???
