Last year is irrelevant—scouts didn’t have much time then to do their DD on how to beat him.

This year, Buchholz is not pitching at anywhere near an MLB level. If the Red Sox were not in pennant race, it might make sense to let him work it out while staying in the rotation. But as it is, simply giving away every 5th game is unacceptable.

We never wanted Schilling, who has the best w/l percent in the playoffs over Buckholz. There are guys in the minors who I think might be better now and one will get a chance on Tuesday. Buckholtz seems to have lost his confidence and must work of getting in front of hitters or his junk will not fool big league hitters.
