The codes that you are referring to are UPC/EAN/ISBN codes. The installed base of camera phones can not focus on them to be able to decode the code. The hardware (camera phones) needs to change out to get macrofocus camera phones deployed before the 1D codes become viable revenue streams for the PWC players.
