Bleedingedge how close do you think the next generation of camera cells phone is to having a macro focus lens that can read 1d barcodes.. Is this something that cell phone manufacturers where persusing? I beleive there is a couple of phones that have that feature but not many.

Now with apple's Iphone out will that also require some type of macro lens as well.

Knowing the 1d barcode will have limited information, won't retailers and ad agencies try to persue the 2D barcode


Just wondering what your thoughts on this are.
