51% of all the electricity provided in the U.S. is from Coal burning plants!!! That statistic was discussed by the CEO of MME on CNBC. He stated until they start building more nuclear plants or discover a more inexpensive way to introduce solar energy he stated the demand for electricity from coal plants will only increase. Wind energy is another future alternative but with no real electical grid being in place wind energy is 5 years away from making any significant impact to the current electrical coal plants. Just this last month Texas finally approved spending $1.6 billion to build the grid for the windturbine's T. Boone Pickens is discussing to the U.S. people!!! Now with Coal to Liquid technology it will only put a further demand for coal. That is why you have all the big guys trying to buy up all the reserves while they have the cash on their books!!
