I'm making no comment whatsoever on the probabilities the results will be good or bad, but I do differ with the prevailing opinion that Cortex wouldn't present on the day of the results if they weren't going to be good.

What choice does Cortex have except to put the best spin possible on the results?

Cortex has no aces up their sleeves, they don't even have any 7's up their sleeves right now - Cortex's share price depends 100% for the foreseeable future on how investors react to the RD results.

Cortex has to spin these results as positively as they possibly can (and remember that the results may be good but not great), and unless the results are an unquestionable home run, that's what they will be doing, along with emphasizing that Cortex isn't a one trick pony and there are other targets for Ampakines besides RD.
