Ispro, you can record using downloads. Download the file, you've got a record.

As far as I can see, WXP uses the word caching to imply persistent service attached to a specific site or location, scheduled downloading of files "in the background" and client-side management of the stored files. "Caching" is a kind of managed download.

Without using WXP's service, you can point, click and download any size and format of file you want, and depending on your bandwidth, it will take a longer or shorter time to get to you.

WXP's advantage over other download services seems to be that it keeps on doing it. It isn't that it is the only service capable of delivering a rich file.

And as you know, with streaming as opposed to downloading, you don't need to fill your hard drive with video because you can get a great service using point-and-click from a server. This may not be sufficient quality for a HD television. But for most PCs with a decent connection, it's more than adequate. Hence the shape of the market.
