Thanks Surfer.....sounds like your experience with your CT has been a good one. (By the way, hang onto that baby----since you purchased one of the very first CTs that went on the market....that sucker may be worth something one of these days....guard that serial # carefully!...LOL!) Several things I would like to comment on. If it were necessary or requested by the customer to have the CT installed in a hidden area, such as the trunk of a car, the external antenna they now offer will pick up any signals just as if the CT were placed in the glovebox, on the dash, or under the console area without an antenna. I also know with AT&T (GSM provider).....they recently expanded their bandwidth so it is now possible to have indoor reception too (inside a building)......so with the GSM version.....you could probably throw it in the trunk of a car and be off to the races with no antenna.

I also remember how pleased Cannon Pacific was with the performance of their Cyber Trackers when you talked with them a while back, and the very same thing for McCrary Trucking when both of us talked with them.

Homeland Integrated Security Systems Customers to Benefit from At&T Purchase of 700 Mhz Bandwidth (Marketwire)
April 15, 2008

"Of particular interest to HISS is that one of the benefits will be better signal strength inside buildings," stated Ian Riley, CTO of Homeland Integrated Security Systems. "Our interpretation of the new bandwidth is that it will allow a greater use of video and the possibility of integrating voice in combination with our GSM CT-1000."
