The subject is mufflers, specifically Aero mufflers. The OEM mfrs use several separate chambers to bounce the exhaust flow back and forth before releasing it. That back and forth flow means the sound is way down, producing the quiet exhaust that is desirable in new cars. Unfortunately, this also produces restriction and backpressure.
ALL aftermarket mufflers find various ways to reduce the restriction and allow easier egress for the exhaust, thereby allowing improved breathing and less backpressure, which usually results in more horsepower and torque, and the possibility of increased mileage depending on the way the vehicle is driven. I repeat, ALL aftermarket mufflers can increase mileage. So those who state in their opinion and without engineering degrees that Aero cannot improve mileage are definitely mistaken.
Fortunately for Aero, with the technological breakthrough of controlled air flow patterns inside the muffler, they can produce more horsepower, more torque, the opportunity for better mileage and longer engine life than other mufflers and this has been proven by expert engineers over and over.
It is only a matter of time for Aero to become a known and profitable commodity in the marketplace. It is happening now. It will increase sales steadily.
