The debate/arguement/idea is not whether it will help the stock price. The debate is that it is a good idea for analyst to have time to digest the news and formulate good probing question at the CC.
Of course, that is counter to our management philosophy. Mum is the word.
"If the co. released news last Friday, we would have been complaining as well."
No way because it would have given many in Europe and the rest of the world time to digest and realize how good this news was.
To give the world a 30 minute notice on your company's performance and expect to create interest is a joke. People don't get up early or stay awake wondering about IDCC but given enough time to revue news like they afforded some may have participated.
