Just go to the Railroad Commission Web Site and look up wells all around the area it shows how deep they are. Lots of horizontal wells. Does not look like deep is the answer unless you like lots of salt water. Best to stay shallow and drill horizontal. All though its hard to get the pipe needed for the horizontal wells. Unless you have lots of CASHOLA.

Steady_T....I stand corrected, the deep gas wells that Devon and XTO have drilled are not in the BS. I was told today that the deepest depths Devon is drilling in the BS are in the Newark East field between 7,000'-7,500'. I'm headed that direction next week to do so more looking of my own. Later, Doc
