IRAQ AND THE REGION AFTER THE WAR BEIRUT, 9-11 JULY 2003....

This was the thinking when NID was put into place for Iraq

I agree with you...Iraq is being made to be very competitive in the World Market, she will be Democratic and Oil rich with its reserves closer to the surface than any nation. Oil is easy to get to and is protected by France, England, Israel, Australia, and the U.S.

For Iraq to be competitive, the 27 million people there will soon begin to acclimate their lives from destitution to a life style similar to their neighbors (not including Iran). This means sharing the wealth from Oil Revenue into the Dinar reflecting both the GDP/GNP for their people. We out here would call that a more substantial reval of the Dinar. :O)

In order to tap Iran's Oil, one has to significantly drill deeper and make friends with a terrorist nation. There's hope though, if Iraq will lay down their nuclear plans and trade openly with Iraq everyone will be better off. I think it will come to that, but Ahmadinejad has to weigh very carefully how far to take this...Israel is getting nervous.
