While I agree with you, remember that Intel added two layers to the P4EE instead of coming out with a large cache version of Prescott, i.e. Potomac. Now two layers isn't going to buy Intel all much with respect headroom, it's already scaled pretty well, unlike TBredA. Now it may be that Jonah is more than a dual core notebook chip. But if it isn't, then Opteron does indeed have a wide open door. Time for a production crash on 90nm for AMD. They are going to have to do some world class screwing up to maintain the status quo...
