New Wave, even if Wave sells WaveXpress, wouldn't Wave still generate revenues from managing the subcriptions through the TPMs?

In other words, wouldn't a sale of WXP be a win win for Wave Systems?

New Wave--You nailed it! You write:
"How ironic is this? Little old unappreciated subsidiary WaveXpress could very well become responsible for a major stretch of the runway for Wave Systems just as the core business is ramping and has its greatest working capital requirements. "

I think this news is inherently much more explosive if and when an Xbox/TVTonic extender angle enters the equation. Which of course would lead TVTonic right smack into your living room. And is MS ZUNE/TVTonic PR far fetched? My point is that there are multiple venues that this could rather quickly lead to, including premium content.

Many believed and posted with great vigor that TVTonic was a dead appendage to this company. That TVTonic was irrelevant until the Enterprise sector ramped up The typical line was that its primary purpose was to support Sprague's friends, relatives and bla bla bla. The cynics and mockers were wrong. Simple as that.

KUDOS TO SIR MICHAEL SPRAGUE AND HIS GREAT TVTONIC STAFF!!!
