MIB--re: iTPM and Critical Mass of TPMs on the Consumer Side.

Intel iTPMs is of course a great development for future TPM consumer devices. The problem of course is that iTPMs have yet to be delivered to the consumer. If the consumer side is going to depend on iTPMs, how long would it take to achieve anything approaching a critical mass?

I see iTPMs as constituting the 2nd WAVE of the TPM consumer cycle.

It's been abundantly documented on this board that the 1st WAVE of the TPM consumer cycle began at least two or three years ago. And like, the Enterprise side, the TPMs have simply not been activated.

Now we have the much ballyhooed grand TVTonic launch which is being associated with some spectacular EVENT(rumored to be the Olympics), which is suppose to very dramatically increase the market value of TVTonic. The only way TVTonic can differentiate itself from the massive and predatory competition is to finally plays its trump card: Hooking up TVTonic subscription software with TPMs!

This "fantasy" could easily become a reality if the TVTonic subscription software is downloaded into millions of TPMs/Hardware security chips as a prerequisite by a few media companies to watch the special EVENT. Even if the TPMs were limited to securing passwords, credit cards and other privacy related content, it would prove revolutionary!
