In my life I've stayed at every place imaginable. I've seen it all. And even in the worst dumps I've been in, with some of the most obscene conditions and problems arising, I've never felt any cumpulsion to bother myself with writing the experience up online.
Immediate red flags are raised for me, for any that could trouble themselves with making a report over a hotel that serves as a nearby layover to the airport. Essentially these joints always come with a glitch or two. Who's to say someone who is bashing the stock wouldn't spend the time to compose a disingenuous trip report. Takes two seconds...and voila...another idiotic talking point.
I say suck it up and enjoy the quirkiness. As long as you didn't need two boards (one to prop up the bed and another to beat off the rats) to survive the night, you've had a good stay.
