Hi Scrooge if you read the info, it says it does not get rid of what you already have. Use ad-aware and spybot for that. What it does is set a setting that says you have the ad-ware on your machine. So when you come across one of the sites that like to put adware on your machine. It is told you already have it on your machine. That is a simple explanation. when you go to the site they explain all that to you.
