One can only guess,since it wasn't revealed to us..
My guess would be this..
Pohl was looking for some tech type to advise him as to what moves would be workable as far as diversification,to increase cash flow """IN""" to Ptsc..
Then something happened to cause Pohl to ..'move up'..his departure date,,and he talked Jim T into filling the chair for a while...
Then another .."Thing"..happened,,and they both pulled the plug on it..FINI..!!
And as muddied as that looks with missing ..FACTS..It is most likely the closest we'll get to the facts..

Turley was a board member for some time before he was appointed CEO. And he was appointed CEO after it was announced by Pohl that Patriot would be looking around for a CEO. I guess, at that time and under the circumstances that existed then, they couldn't find anyone from outside to take it on; I also guess Turley still thought it was a good idea at the time to be second or third or fourth choice; he probably thought, as we all did, that he would have more control and more say than he actually had and that Patriot would reach the promised land faster than it currently appears to be doing. Just my opinion.
