OT: What did you get from that article that leads you to the conclusion that tort reform is necessary in TX, or anywhwere else for that matter? Tort reform has 2 beneficiaries: Big Business and insurance companies. Hey, I guess if it's ok with you that doctors can operate drunk, stoned, or ignorant, without impunity, tort reform is good. If you think it's fine for big business to put products on our shelves that mame, kill, and/or cause severe illness to consumers, without having to pay for their haste and greed to get these products into the market, tort reform is good. If you like to line the pockets of insurance companies, who, despite massive tort reform in past decade, have yet to reduce premiums in any jurisdiction where tort reforms have passed, and continue to raise premiums despite record profits anually, then tort reform is good. I could go on, but I think I've made my point.
