CC Writer: I have stated this before. I first became interested in IDCC when Nokia and Samsung filed for arbitration after the Ericsson settlement. I had three basic premises. (1) IDCC would win the arbitrations, (2) mobile phone usage and production would greatly increase, and (3) with IDCC's stated essential patent portfolio, more licenses and related earnings should also increase. Based on these ideas, I felt that IDCC was a stock that should do well irregardless of what the economy or the market would do.
I was right about (1) and (2), although it took and is taking longer than I anticipated to collect on the arbitration awards. As we all know the real problem is with my 3rd premise. However, as I feel that that situation should improve in the near future, I still remain invested in IDCC
