I wish I could see it for myself. I am in Toronto, Canada. I have been to LA. Love California... but can't head down to "check it out". My impression is that this guy is looking for problems.. Every other article I have read says the thing is running like clockwork. And there is no way that the UI is as bad as it seems... it could not be that bad after a year.
Errors and malfunctions are a normal and expected occasional problem those of us who enjoy technology have evolved to accept. That reviewer was clearly had technophobia which is fine -- uWink is not for everyone nor does it need to be.
That dude sounds like somebody who must hate his cell phone with a passion. Imagine his frustration with text messaging and a "review" on that.
