So when the financials finally come out, this week IMO, or next, I think most longs know that they will not be good, but the following is about the future, and thus more relevant to me about where this company is going, i.e. the future of the low and high-altitude airships(thanks, Baghdad Bob):

" . . . flight trial of the system "SkyDragon" is continued after fading away of the winter Jetstreams."

Baghdad and Swami, looking back over some of the DD on the Skydragon and trying to make sense of where things might be headed.

Baghdad brought up a point about some Skydragon activity and I did a Google translate on the Idea Park show that is occuring May 17-28 in Stuttgart. Maybe Axel can provide some color on this show and the accuracy of the translation.

The point is, this airship is being showcased again. Now whether this is a novel experiment or a truly viable commercial product still remain to be seen. What I do find interesting is that there are some implied advances that have occurred and just maybe, we will benefit from them.

If you look at the Idea Park translation, Stuttgart has an airship 23M long and 2.2M high and references 20km altitude.

In Kroplin's report on page 55 of the Shell Structure book, there is a chart of the various stages of Skydragon development and this size corresponds to versios 1.3c - 1.3g....but the altitude listed there is max, 8000M. Have they advanced the design for stratospheric flight?

Disasters do not stop before borders, new flight systems worldwide. Through use of air navigation equipment in the lower stratosphere, it will be very different future forms of communication and emergency supplies. At the Institute for Statistics and dynamics of aerospace structures have been used for several years advanced missile explored and built. One of these prototypes presents itself you IdeenPark: he is 23 meters long and 2.20 meters high.

SkyDragon - Altitude platform for disaster preparedness
When flood disasters (floods, tsunamis and earthquakes) breaks telecommunications completely in seconds. Fire brigade, A reinstallation of the infrastructure can be weeks to months.

A commitment to the Stuttgarter "SkyDragon"! As an autonomous flying, 20 km altitude operating system, it took only a few hours over the place and operational flying over as the "mobile channel" all the basic functions for telecommunications and direct the transmission of news programs. The "SkyDragon" is currently the only system that can perform these functions.

The "SkyDragon" might be the future of telecommunications in the metropolitan cities of the world secure, in which the need for data transmission to a multiple of the present will grow. And when "Less radiation for all", because the soil strahlungsintensiven Nahzonen masts represent the use of "SkyDragon.

The Institute for Statistics and dynamics of aerospace structures (ISD) is part of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering and Geodetic Science at the University of Stuttgart. ISD leads to about 1200 students of the faculty teaching in the areas of statics, dynamics and data processing, operates theoretical and experimental research in the fields of structural mechanics, strength of materials, equipment and structure modelling and measurement technology is of special areas of research and graduate college. Research focuses on the ISD are material mechanics, adaptive structures and mechatronics, Smart Structures and coupled multi-field problems, design methodologies, simulation, experimental technology and electronics as well as airship development.
