Depends on what print size you would want and/or how much cropping you'd want to do to get the resulting print size. You can get a quality 7x10 print out of a 7m photo with a little room to spare. Here's a link:

I think for emailing and no real concern for huge quality prints you could knock it all the way down to the lowest setting.

OK......Bear in mind that I know nothing, but....I take pictures in the largest possible. Then if I want to send them as an email I reduce the size to whatever it is 800x600? That way some of my friends that are on dialup won't have to go eat dinner while they download. I THINK you can do this with MS paint. I use Photoshop LE because it was free with something I got.
