There's nothing particularly crooked (in the legal sense) about MM's stepping the price down. This is what they do to induce panic, and grab a profit.

Some investors fall for it, and some take advantage. I've learned this much, if I haven't learned anything else at all.

jcrom, they manufactured the tail on this candle out of thin air, so I beg to differ with you. They sold a measely 3000 shares to try to stampeed it; to play it. You can post till cows fly to the contrary but the fact remains that the upside response to the deliberate 3000 share headfake was 1000 times larger than the volume in the head fake itself. Like it or not, the MMs did attempt to manipulate today's action.
