Olddog, IMO IDCC has probably only bought back 50 million of the proposed 100 million buy back they suggested.
One of your notes provided "For the last three repurchase programs for which data is available (2004, 2005, and 2006 programs) a total of $401.2 million was spent to repurchase 14.3 million shares. (ave of $28.05/share).
Looks like the board has seen value at 28 a share so IMO so this level will quickly disappear when Wall Street wakes up?
IMO I was certain when they got the Samsung money they would announce another buy back but now that the board feels comfortable that Nokia might be in the fold they have another hole card and could jump in and announce another 50 million buy back as Carpenter has suggested.
If the board gets the shares anywhere 40 million this stock IMO will explode.
