cellzc, so did you create this ID just now to post to me? I am flattered.

I know what glycosylation is.

So you think GlycoFi is lying about their abiltiy to precisely control sugar structures?

From my research, it appears that GlycoFi biggest advantage is the speed at which they can now create a new glycoproteins. From what I understand about GTC, creating a new glycoprotein is a long, expensive process.

Merck certainly thought GlycoFi had a hot technology.

"Following the publication of GlycoFi’s technology, Merck acquired GlycoFi for $400M in cash. The successful partnership with GlycoFi had motivated Merck to expand its capabilities in biologics and due to its expertise in yeast expression Merck viewed GlycoFi as a natural fit for the company. Merck anticipates that the technology will further enhance the ability of scientists to discover and develop drugs in therapeutic areas such as oncology and vaccines for infectious diseases, which are primary disease areas for company.

According to the National Venture Capital Association the deal was the third highest price ever paid for a biotechnology company. Boston Millennia Partners received a 10x return on its investment in GlycoFi, Inc. "

People should google GlycoFi and form their own opinions.
