WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Mortgage insurer Triad Guaranty Inc. said it will delay its annual report as it continues talks with a third-party investor group to boost capital resources.
Last month the company said it was in talks with the group for a potential deal related to boosting its capital. Since the filing of its annual report would require disclosing the specifics of its talks and the discussions are not finalized, Triad said late Monday that it decided to delay the report.
"Although we cannot provide any assurance that these negotiations will be successful, we believe that delaying the filing of our Form 10-K will best serve the interests of the Company at this stage in the process," Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Ken Jones said in a statement.
Triad anticipates filing its annual results by April 1.
