Yazam, a leader in international seed stage investing and business development, announced Shai Stern has joined its executive team as its Managing Director for Yazam New York. Stern is responsible for managing all aspects of Yazam's New York office, as well as business development for several of Yazam's portfolio companies.

Stern comes to Yazam after serving as a vice president first at American Stock Transfer & Trust Co. and then at AST Stock Plan.com Inc, an affiliated company that provides administrative services for employee stock option plans. There, he was instrumental in building AST's client base from 15 to 500 clients in two-and-a-half years, attracting clients such as MP3.com, VerticalNet, DoubleClick, Priceline, CNet, net2phone(SM), Healtheon(TM), and WitCapital.
