#42827 RE: hang ten #42826

You know, I was wondering why you and ibreken are not excited and checked English translation (didn't really look at it, just copied and pasted from Google translator). Well translation is wrong!
"To date, the political situation in the country has stabilized, that the Government of Syria has to decide on the matter."

This sentence sounds like Syrian Government has yet to decide. But, according to the news it's done!

Here is the Babelfish translation:
""North Western petroleum group" will take participation in the building NPZ in Syria

5.03.2008 14:34. It is no.

PRIVATELY HELD COMPANY "North Western petroleum group" will come out by the operator of the project of the building of oil refinery in Syria. Russian company will work together with the Syrian national company. As reports press- service SZNG, about the competition it was declared even in the beginning of 2007; however, the periods of summing up of the results several times were transferred because of the conducted to Syria selections of the new President. Today political situation in the country was stabilized, which gave the possibility to make a decision by this question to the government of Syria, notes Rosinvest.

Within the framework of project is assumed the creation of plant with a power of 140 thousand barrels in a 24 hour period and the level of petroleum refining on the standards "of Euro- -4" and "the Euro- -5". The cost of building is evaluated at $1,2 billion. The period of the realization of project can be from three to five years. "

This news item states that the company is already awarded the contract!
