Add general declining market conditions (DOW -281 today),

experts talking of recession (except Bush), and talk of $4/gal. gasoline.

I'm not buying any big board stocks or mutual funds. Transferred most of my retirement mutual fund $$$ into safer havens a couple of months ago. My son the financial planner warned me.

I remember when they were 17.00 a share, and YAHOO was just over 8.00, Apple fell to 8.50 because Microsoft was going take over the whole market, Dell was the big show in town, I guess growing old has the same effect on everything. Just have to keep dancing, once you sit down it's harder to get back up again! LOL Val :-) PS, I grew up right over the bridge from Palo Alto on a horse ranch. They were considered the slums of the Bay Area.
