#6411 RE: laker5 #6382

laker5, i was looking at it like this (please correct me if i am wrong). Let's say you own 20K shares and there is a settlement for $700 million which would be equivalent to around $10 payout to unit holders or $200K if you own 20k shares. Now, let's says as part of the settlement, royalties resume for the properties in question as well as for the other property interests. For exmple, perhaps yearly royalties hit .50-1.00/share. Wouldn't that cause the unit price to go up big time, especially with the lawsuit out of the way? Maybe they go to $10+/unit based on future royalty payments. Unit holders get the settlement check and if they continue to hold their shares, they can sell them later for a lot more, no? They could also choose to hold on to their shares and collect royalty payments going forward. Let me know if this is a correct scenario. Thanks!
