Yesterday afternoon, there was a huge jump in equity put volume was fluctuation between about 31,000 and 46,000. Then at 2:00 pm EST, volume jumped to 172,000.
Is this typical? I remember seeing this on the index options the week before 9/11, but the spike was a lot bigger then, around a few hundred thousand contracts I think.
I am starting to watch your Q and core issues for medium-term deployment (long-term doesn't exist any more). It has been awhile since I have tracked them (I missed the late January deployment signals to QLGC & SKX completely) and was wondering if the lists on the 'Zeev's Turnips Patch-No Politics' home page could be updated. I know you are in & out of AAPL a lot, and some symbols are no longer listed (MERQ).
