SPIN, only referenced im01's post to indicate that he was willing to buy more than was available. I think it's reasonable to assume s/he wasn't the only person in that position.

As for Fiest, that referred to a telephone book. In the opinion of the court in that case, it is stated [emphasis mine] "The sine qua non of copyright is originality. To qualify for copyright protection, a work must be original to the author."

Further, "Original, as the term is used in copyright, means only that the work was independently created by the author (as opposed to copied from other works), and that it possesses at least some minimal degree of creativity."

I am modest enough to state that there is a minimal degree of quality. I'll keep the copyright on the page.
